Seth and Cindy met by chance at a local wine shop. Their diverse life experiences were the perfect match to fulfill a need in Public Safety Compliance, and the idea of PORTA Consulting was born. Utilizing the strengths of their management skills and the education of their children, we have brought together two generations of differing expertise to provide both seasoned experience and a fresh look and approach. As accepted business practices haven't changed, technology and communication is constantly changing, and we believe we have a wonderful mix to meet your needs! We combine our strengths in order to provide the best consulting in today's environment.
Seth Weinger, Managing Member
Seth has managed, owned or consulted to various businesses and non profit organizations. With his strong experience in sales and marketing , Seth used his knowledge to assist Public Safety Agencies to better communicate with their residents, through technology. Seth still manages a large Commercial Real Estate portfolio and consults to several small businesses.
Cindy Weinger, Partner
Cindy brings years of experience working in both the private and non-profit sectors. Her career began with 25 years focused in insurance and financial services, working in sales, marketing and client account management. As a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA) and member of an extended deaf family, she returned to her roots as a sign language interpreter. After 13 years working with the deaf community, Cindy recently retired as director for a large non profit ASL Interpreting Agency .
Natasha Harris, Treasurer
Natasha shares a wealth of expertise in accounting, financial services, and tax strategy and a track record of guiding hundreds of clients to achieve financial goals. Natasha has her MBA and a BA in Accounting, Financial Services, and Marketing, and is currently enrolled in her PhD program in Business Intelligence. Her leadership extends to her role as Treasurer of the Columbia Regional Economic Development Inc. board and was honored at the Tax & Accounting Summit 2021 and named Accounting CFO of the Year 2023 (Missouri).
Alexandra Etheredge, Board Secretary
Alexandra is an experienced Sales & Customer Service professional with a strong background in the FinTech industry, particularly in Franchising. She earned a B.A. in Psychology, Minor in Business Administration, and second Minor in Management from San Francisco State University.
Samuel Weinger, Technology Manager
Samuel is a technical service professional in the personal computing industry. He graduated with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems with a focus on Application Development from California Polytechnic University in Pomona in 2022. He continues to further his pursuit of knowledge while focusing his time in the tech industry while using his experience to grow local e-sports communities.
John G. Peters, Jr., CLS, Ph.D., Public Safety Advisor
A former administrator of a medium-sized police department, police officer, and deputy sheriff, Dr. Peters is author of more than 300 publications, and is a judicially-qualified expert witness. In addition to his undergraduate criminal justice degree from the University of Baltimore, Dr. Peters holds 4 graduate degrees, which includes a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences, and a California CLEAR teaching credential. Our Current Mission
We are working with Public Safety Agencies Risk Mitigation as it relates to ADA Title II. Seth and Cindy have provided Education and Training at the AELE and ICIPD Conferences in 2024, and will be hosting a webinar in September, 2024. We are utilizing the lessons to work with SeaMe Systems, LLC to provide the PROTECT Program, an experienced based solution to be made available for Public Safety Entities
Redevelopment in Fulton, MO
We are working with ABAR, LLC to revitalize the historic Brick District in Downtown Fulton, MO. Construction is about to begin changing the 1900 built building from a Tack and Furniture Store into a multiuse Residential and CoWorking Space
